David Proshan, Partner and General Counsel, began working for Kerberos in 2023. He handles a wide variety of matters, including legal and regulatory, transactions with borrowers/counterparties, fund formation and investor relations, among others. Previously, he was Managing Director (Legal) at Brevet Capital Management, a private credit firm. He had previously served as associate general counsel at Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, he was general counsel at a few alternative investment firms — D.B. Zwirn & Co., Libra Advisors and Axial Capital. He also served in the capacity of chief compliance officer at the latter two firms. David began his career as a litigator at law firms including Weil, Gotshal & Manges, followed by a federal clerkship with the Honorable Edward R. Korman in New York City. He then spent several years as a corporate associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom before moving in house. David graduated with an A.B., cum laude, in philosophy from Princeton University. He also received an M.A. from the University of Oxford in Jurisprudence (Law) and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
